Invitation to Participate: Insight Circle on Social Isolation & Loneliness in Older Adults

The Canadian Coalition for Seniors’ Mental Health (CCSMH) invites health care and social service professionals (HCSSPs) to join a 90-minute virtual Insight Circle on October 22 at 1:00 pm EST. Your input will help refine a new resource designed to support meaningful, compassionate conversations with older adults about social isolation and loneliness—critical issues linked to serious health risks, including increased risk of stroke, dementia, cancer-related death, and early mortality.

About the Resource
Starting the Conversation: A Resource for Health Care and Social Service Professionals on Social Isolation and Loneliness in Older Adults was developed with input from professionals like you. It is intended to be practical, relevant, and supportive in real-world clinical and community settings.

Why Participate?

  • Share feedback on content, structure, tone, and usability
  • Contribute to a small-group discussion (6–10 participants)
  • Help ensure the tool reflects the realities of practice
  • Receive a gift card honorarium in appreciation for your time
